2016 Nobel Prizes for Physics and Medicine

The 2016 Nobel Prize for physics goes to British researchers David Thouless, Duncan Haldane and Michael Kosterlitz for ‘for theoretical discoveries of topological phase transitions and topological phases of matter’. The Nobel Prize for medicine goes to the Japanese Yoshinori Ohsumi for ‘for his discoveries of mechanisms for autophagy.’
